Bulgaria Police Arrest Alleged Murderer in Razlog

Bulgarian police have arrested the alleged murderer of 22-year-old Hristo Milanov, whose body was found at the side of the road near Novi Han two days ago.

The alleged killer, a 29-year-old man, as yet unnamed was arrested in Razlog Thursday night and taken into custody in Sofia.

He had allegedly been hiding in a house on the outskirts of Razlog and had threatened the owner of the house to stop them from reporting him to the police….

Potato Chips Company Invests BGN 20 M in Bulgaria

Intersnack Bulgaria will invest BGN 20 M in potato and sunflower production in Bulgaria in 2009.

The company that produces Chio Chips will spend BGN 18 M in a new factory for production of potato chips, and BGN 2 M to stimulate potato and sunflower producers in Bulgaria.

Bulgaria Still Aiming for Kozlodouy Nuclear Reactor Reboot

PM Sergey Stanishev has said that Bulgaria has not given up on the idea of re-booting at least one of the units at Kozlodouy NPP.

Stanishev assured that Bulgaria has no stopped working on the subject, while talking to parliament on Friday, cited by Darik Radio. He reminded MPs that the closure of units 3 and 4 of Kozlodouy nuclear power plant was enforced by a legal contract with the EU upon Bulgaria’s joining of the bloc….

Bulgarian Hooker Raped Brutally in Italy

A 21-year-old Bulgarian woman has been raped by an Italian and two Romanians near the Italian town of Latina.

33-year-old Alessandro Liutsi, owner of a scaffolding company, and the Romanians, Adrian Troya (33), and Stefano Forckhsanu (30), are the main suspects. A trial against them began Thursday, the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.
