Renault Romania starts tests for the Fluence electric car in mid 2011

Renault Romania will start tests for the Fluence electric car and first deliveries will be made in end 2011 or early 2012, Renault commercial director Fabrice Cambolive declared in an interview for HotNews.ro. The first clients will most probably be companies and Renault hopes that the Romanian state will offer subsidies of 4000-5000 euro for those who purchase electric cars like other countries do. The electric model will cost around 21,000 euro.

Romania's economy will register a 2% drop in 2010 and inflation will reach 7-8% by the end of this year due to the VAT increase, Romanian authorities wrote in the intent letter to the IMF, released on Thursday by the IMF and quoted by the Romanian news agency Agerpres.
The government eliminates minimum tax and approves a set of measures to support companies

PM Emil Boc announced on Wednesday that the government will eliminate the minimum tax starting October 1. For now, the govenrment did not introduce the flat tax for the economic sectors that have a potential for fiscal evasion, Finance minister Ialomitianu declared.
