Moldovan temporary president Mihai Ghimpu responded to the Russian Foreign Affairs minister Serghei Lavrov' accusations, indicating that it was not Romania that kept an army on the Republic of Moldova's territory, Jurnal de Chisinau informs.

Protest against stray dog euthanasia in Bucharest

Over 200 people are protesting today, April 29, against the law draft launched by Prefect Mihai Cristian Atanasoaiei, which wants to see the stray dogs in Bucharest's centres put to sleep within seven days, Romanian press agency Mediafax informs.

These are impressive figures describing the World Shanghai Exhibition 2010, which officially open this Friday, April 30. “Better City, Better Life” is the theme of the event, which will be open over the next six months, until end October. Romania has got its own pavilion, in the shape of a green apple, promoting the idea of a green, ecological city and sustainable development.

Romania goes in team final competition

Romania's national Gymnastic team qualified in the gymnastic European Championship final team competition in Birmingham, Great Britain, raising 166,800 points. Its eternal rival, namely Russia, got the best score (168.325 points), while the host country ranked third. The Thursday results of the Romanian team allow the girls to compete in all four finals.
