Parliamentary party leaders expected at 20.00 hours, at Cotroceni Palace

Leaders of the parties which went above the electoral threshold are expected on Monday evening, at 20.00 hours, at Cotroceni Palace, for a consultations round with the head of state.

President Traian Basescu addressed this invitation to the President of the Liberal Democrat Party (PD-L, in opposition) Emil Boc, President of the National Liberal Party (PNL, at rule) Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, President of the Social Democratic Party (PSD, in opposition) Mircea Geoana, President of the Conservative Party (PC) Daniela Popa, President of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR, at rule) Marko Bela, as well as to the leader of the Group of national minorities Varujan Pambuccian.

‘As I got engaged into December 5 consultations, I invite you Monday, December 8, at 20.00 hours, at Cotroceni Palace, with a party delegation formed of the party’s president accompanied by two party members to a meeting where representatives of all parliamentary political parties were invited. I am convinced we will conduct a dialogue exclusively based on the national interest imperative’, reads the invitation addressed by President Basescu to the parliamentary party leaders. AGERPRES
