Romania’s Transgaz organizes 3m lei bid to construct gas pipe in eastern region Vrancea

Romania’s national gas transporter Transgaz announced it calls for public bid to select a company interested in investing 3 million lei to build a gas pipe in Panciu, eastern region Vrancea.
The pipe will be seven kilometers long according to the task book and will connect to the grid at pipe DN 250 Marasesti-Focsani in the same region.

The contracting period is six months. The deadline to submit offers is November 27. Companies interested in the bid are required to pay a 20,000 lei participation guarantee.

Transgaz has a share capital of 117.74 million lei, divided among 11.77 million shares, at a face value of 10 lei. The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) currently owns 75 percent of the gas distributor’s share capital.

The Proprietatea Fund holds about 15 percent and the remaining 10 percent are free-float shares, which are transacted on the BSE and to which will be added the 3 percent offered by MEF. Transgaz is listed on the first tier on the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the TGN symbol.
