Olympics: Andrunache and Susanu win 2nd gold medal for Romania

Romania’s Georgeta Andrunache and Viorica Susanu have won the gold medal in
women’s pair rowing on Saturday, bringing the Romanian gold medals so far to two.

Andrunache and Susanu had a very good race, which they led after 500 meters to win by a wide margin.

The silver medal was won by China in 7:22.38 and the bronze by Belarus in 7:22.91.

The first gold medal of Romania at the Beijing Olympics was won by judoka Alina Dumitru on Aug. 9. AGERPRES
