Austria and Romania support Serbia’s efforts to get closer to European structures, Austria’s Federal Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer and Romanian PM Calin Popescu-Tariceanu stated on Thursday, at the end of bilateral talks at the Victoria Government House.
‘Serbia needs a European perspective, the more so as it now witnesses a struggle between pro-European and nationalist forces. Serbia is an anchor of stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans, and Austria and Romania promote its European perspective,’ said the Austrian Chancellor.
In turn, the head of the Romanian government underscored Romania’s determination in helping turn the Western Balkans into an area of stability, prosperity and security.
‘Serbia needs assistance for overcoming the current delicate moment and continue its European track,’ said Calin Popescu-Tariceanu. ROMPRES
