Black Sea ports closed due to fog
January 18, 2008
Three Romanian Black Sea ports and the Canal linking the Danube River to the Black Sea were closed early on Friday due to the thick fog, the Rompres correspondent reported.
Constanta Port director Alexandru Mezei said the ships’ sailing into and out the port as well as the loading and unloading operations have been brought to a halt in the ports of Constanta North, Constanta South and Midia due to the poor visibility.
Navigation has also been closed on the Danube-Black Sea Canal, Mezei announced. ROMPRES
