Romanian consulate in Turin will launch an investigation on Thursday, after the Italian Police mistaken a Romanian actress Laura Vasiliu with a child trafficking suspect. The actress, star of the recently Palme D’Or awarded “4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days”, was invited in Italy in order to play in another movie.
On Thursday morning, the Foreign Ministry spokesman declared for Hotnews.ro that an official position wasn’t adopted yet, since even the actress asked for as much discretion as possible.
The Italian Carabinieri mistaken Laura Vasiliu for a child trafficking suspect, the online edition of Gandul informs. According to the newspaper, the Police burst through the doors of Vasiliu’s hotel room during Wednesday night.
The mistake was realized after the room and Laura were searched and the policemen prepared to arrest her. It seems that the suspect wanted by the Italian Police carries a very similar name.

Now that is pathetic. God…what is wrong with the men these days…uniform or not…those Italian cops ever heard of police brutality? Have they ever heard of giving a warning before entering? Idiots! I hope she takes them to court.
