Present on Friday at the ceremony for handing certificates to the Romanian MEPs, President Traian Basescu said that, for him, there are no MEPs of the Democratic Party (PD), the Social Democratic Party (PSD), the National Liberal Party (PNL), the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR) or independent ones, but only ‘Romanian parliamentarians in the European Parliament.’ Read more
